All The Pieces

Cells, the tiny sacks that have all the pieces for life,
are made from lots of little chemical pieces…

…like proteins,
that make up things,
like hair and muscle.
But other proteins
are nature’s little nano-machines
called enzymes
and they help to build things.

Carbohydrates
are sugars that are used
for cells’ energy.
But they form things too.

Lipids are oils
for barriers to hold
the cell together,
and for energy storage.

ATP transfers the energy
from “carbs” and lipids
(transfers the energy
from carbs and lipids,
from carbs and lipids) (carbohydrates)
to power (to power)
the cells’ activities.

[robot voice]
Nucleic acids are here to stay.
They make the backbone of DNA.
(carbohydrates)

Cells, the tiny sacks that have all the pieces for life,
are made from lots of little chemical pieces.
Cells, the tiny sacks that have all the pieces for life,
are made from lots of little chemical pieces.
