Nanosubs gain better fluorescent properties for tracking
The next generation of nanosubmarines being developed at Rice has been upgraded with tags that fluoresce longer, which enables the submersibles to be tracked for greater periods while being driven through a solution. James Tour, the T.T. and W.F. Chao Professor of Chemistry, professor of computer science and of materials science and nanoengineering, and former Rice graduate student Víctor García-Lopéz are quoted.
